"Yoga therapy is the ancient science of yoga that focuses on health and wellness at all levels of the person: physical, psychological and spiritual. Yoga therapy focuses on the path of yoga as a healing journey that brings balance to the body and mind through an experiential understanding of the primary intention of Yoga: awakening of Spirit, our essential nature." Joseph LePage, M.A., Integrative Yoga Therapy (U.S.A.)
As a Yoga Therapist, we develop a full set of skills to assist an individual or group with finding the correcxt "prescription" to heal from within and find balance . The client takes an active role in their own healing. Often, yoga therapy clients may not be able to get the attention they need in a regular yoga class. The medicine we use are yogic tools and holistic healing modalities from physical postures (asanas), breathwork (pranayama) and relaxation techniques (meditation), to reiki, massage and more.
