Our Studio Mascot : Buddy

Buddy is our studio mascot and a trained therapy dog. He is a two year old Golden Doodle with a heart full of  unconditional love for all who are interested!  Buddy has studied at Bright Spot Therapy Dog of Northampton. He  loves to practice yoga, meditate and gives the best dog hugs ever!! He loves alll beings, is hypoallergenic and great with kids!!! Feel free to say Namaste to Buddy !

Meet Bonni-Lynne

 Bonni-Lynne Sandler is a compassionate, dedicated and kind teacher who has worked in the Health and Wellness field for decades. Over the last decade, Bonni-Lynne's career shifted from teaching Health and Special Education in public schools, to returning to the classroom to advance her education. As an Experienced Registered 500 hour Yoga Instructor, Certified Yoga Therapist, Reiki Master Teacher, Thai Bodywork Therapist, Myofascial Release Bodyworker with several specialized certifications, she specializes in assisting others in healing long held trauma ("issues in the tissues"), chronic pain, addictions, and other forms of dis-ease. She also trains new yoga teachers, reiki practitioners, and Thai Bodywork Therapists. Yoga Therapy Courses are now on the schedule as HeartnSoul awaits accreditation. While studying holistic healing methods, her mentors have included doctors, psychiatrists, yoga teachers, structural integrators, Rolfers, bodyworkers, LMT's and yoga therapists from all over the country.  She is passionate in her pursuit to assist individuals of all ages, skill levels, shapes, and sizes  in improving and maintaining their overall health and well-being. She is often referred to as the heart of HeartnSoul!


Meet Tricia

 Tricia offers her caring heart, amazing listening skills, real life experiences and authentic self to help those who cross her path. Tricia is a  professional mental health counselor with clinical interests in  trauma, PTSD, domestic violence, addiction, life transitions, self-esteem and issues unique to the LGBTQ population.  She strives to create a safe space for others to feel heard, understood, and accepted. She believes people can discover many new things about themselves, including ways to re-shape their lives to achieve their most value-centered life. Tricia uses cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) AND holistic approaches including Reiki and Yoga to meet the unique needs of each client. Tricia earned her Master’s degree in Social Work from Smith College in Northampton.  She is Reiki Level Two Certified and is currently pursuing her Yoga Teacher & Yoga Therapy Certifications.  Her experience includes individual counseling in jail and hospital settings. Her unique ability to focus on YOUR needs will assist you on your healing journey!  


Meet John

Johnny is our studio musician, offering his love for music and a brilliant smile earning him the name "Smiley" as a child! His soul shines as he offers loving kindness through the healing sounds of the crystal bowls, songs and the soothing sounds of the guitar!  By day, John is an environmental engineer with a Masters Degree from Northeastern University. His current path is leading him to sound healing therapy using crystal bowls and other modalities. He is certified in Reiki and studying to become a yoga teacher as well! Come raise your vibration and soothe your soul on Monday nights at 6pm! Take 5 minutes to chat with John and you will surely leave with a smile on YOUR face!


Meet Tammy

  Tammey was first introduced to Pilates in 2004 after having some back issues and was recommended to take Pilates to strengthen her core and back. This is when she truly realized the benefits of a regular Pilates practice had on her body. As a result, she fell in love with Pilates and decided she wanted to help others discover the many benefits as well. She received her first Pilates Mat Class Certification in 2005. Her love of fitness and a healthy lifestyle quickly lead her to gaining certifications in AFAA Personal Training, Interval Training, Core Muscle Training,Stability Ball Training, and cycling. Tammey enjoys encouraging her clients to recogize their full potential by achieving their health and fitness objectives.  Her beautiful smile and radiant energy is an integral part of the HeartnSoul vibration! She resides in Wilbraham with her husband and dog. She has a passion for travel and making surprise visits to her beautiful grandchildren!


Meet Lara

Lara's classes are medicine. She is a Yoga Alliance Certified Teacher with 15 years of experience practicing various styles of yoga. Lara received her  certification from Sivananda Forest Academy in Kerela, India.  Full of energy , she has continued to learn, train,  and take courses, gaining new wisdom to adapt her teaching  to best meet the needs of her students. She has a deep love for the gift of healing and the empowerment that yoga brings to practitioners. Her style of teaching aims to open the chi (energy) channels so that stagnant energy can flow using breathing techniques, alignment, movement and gravity to promote  deep healing.   With a range of experience, she has instructed prenatal yoga, advanced pranayama, vinyasa and her newfound passion for teaching seniors and individuals with limitations. Her holistic approach is applicable to all levels  guiding students  to safely and effectively reclaim their lives, zest for life, and mobility.   Lara's classes are guaranteed to leave you feeling a ton of feel-good endorphins! Lara resides in Amherst with her family as she begins a  new chapter of living in the Happy Valley! She is thrilled to be joining the HeartnSoul  Family!



Alyssa began practicing yoga about ten years ago and completed her 200-hour certification in 2018 in Thailand with Path of Yoga. She teaches Hatha Vinyasa classes that encourage self-inquiry through gentle, breath-based movement. Drawing from personal experience with depression and anxiety, Alyssa creates a safe & where all persons can practice & grow without judgement. Alyssa has a BA in Dance from Dean College and has over 20 years of experience performing throughout New England. She loves to draw inspiration from music, nature, spirituality, the human condition ~ anything that stirs her. She is grateful to the practice of yoga for bringing her home to her most authentic self. Her mission is to spread healing and joy in the world by strengthening ourselves and the connection to one another. In her spare time Alyssa enjoys spontaneous kitchen dance parties & Disney sing-a-longs.


Meet kelly jane

  Kelly is a yoga teacher in training. She will be certified as a 200-hour yoga teacher by December, 2019. Kelly has been practicing yoga since her early teens. She started teaching yoga to friends and family by the age of 18. Kelly has a Batchelors in Psychology. She is a certified crisis counselor, who supports and advocates for those with trauma. She is also certified as a Bioregional Herbalist and is the owner of a local herb shop called Bitter Day Herbals. Her current ventures include finishing her 200-hour yoga teacher certification and graduating with a Graduate Certificate in Mindfulness. 


Meet Tanya

Tanya Miller is a woman of many hats along this journey called life. She is an Exoerienced 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher, Certified Transpersonal Hypnotherapist,  medical tech, small business owner, mother and wife. Her degrees and certifications include a Bachelor's in Clinical Laboratory, Public Health and Holistic Health.  She  recently earned her certification  in Pre-natal and Post-natal yoga teaching with a special interest in offering a unique blend of yoga and hypnotherapy to expectant mothers, new mothers and parents! Her classes and workshops offer modalities that  work to release deep tensions and holdings in the whole body-mind and result in physical, mental and emotional relaxation and changes in perception. Her classes combine an awareness of the physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of yoga and life. Tanya's unique style and light hearted humor make her private sessions and classes a beautiful experience!


Meet Andrea

 Since 2003 Andrea has been a certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, working with patients that have injuries, neurological, and cognitive deficits. While pregnant with her second child in 2004 she began to attend prenatal yoga classes. Through this experience Andrea fell in love with yoga and the benefits to not only the body, but to the mind as well and has been practicing ever since. Andrea has married her two passions through incorporating yoga into her treatment sessions with clients in skilled nursing, acute rehab, home care and community-based mental health sessions. In 2016, Andrea took a course on trauma-informed yoga through the Liberation Prison Yoga organization. She has since led yoga groups for folks with severe and persistent mental illness in clubhouse and outpatient settings. Andrea has a true devotion for making yoga accessible to everyone.  


Meet Michelle

  Michelle Bouchard is 200 hour Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher.  She is certified from HeartSong Yoga Center in East Long Meadow where she studied with Beryl Bender Birch, founder of the Hard & the Soft of Yoga Institute.  Her classes are gentle and accessible to all sprinkled with yogic wisdom, alignment cues and a sense of humor.  "if you can breathe you can do yoga" is the philosophy she teachers her students. She seeks to make yoga accessible to EVERY BODY in the room.  Her enthusiasm for yoga and all of its teachings will keep you interested and put a smile on your face.  Try her classes - a combo of Mellow and Strong Flow accessible to all!! Michelle wishes peace and happiness to all people on this journey called life.  


Meet Nicole

Nicole’s yogic journey began many years ago with a Master’s degree in Psychology and Advanced Personal Training Certification.  Her evolution of transforming the mind and body brought her to yoga.  She has been blessed with the opportunity to learn from some of the most advanced Iyengar teachers today.  She is currently studying with Susan Elena Esquivel.  Practicing for over 16 years, she brings knowledge from a myriad of fields to the classroom.  Her Classical Chair Yoga classes are  uniquely inspired by her study of Iyengar yoga which places emphasis on precision and alignment of all poses utilizing props to achieve this perfection for any body. Students will begin to recognize their own imbalances and learn how to correct them; gaining knowledge and awareness to carry with them throughout the day.
