Bonni-Lynne Sandler is a compassionate, dedicated and kind teacher who has worked in the Health and Wellness field for many years. Over the last decade, Bonni-Lynne's career shifted from teaching Health and Special Education in public schools, to returning to the classroom to advance her education. As an Experienced Registered 500 hour Yoga Instructor, Certified Yoga Therapist, Reiki Master Teacher, Thai Massage Practitioner, Myofascial Release Bodyworker with several specialized certifications, she specializes in assisting others in healing long held trauma ("issues in the tissues"), chronic pain, addictions, and other forms of dis-ease. She also trains new yoga teachers, reiki practitioners, and Thai massage practitioners. Yoga Therapy Courses are now on the schedule as HeartnSoul awaits accreditation. While studying holistic healing methods, her mentors include doctors, psychiatrists, yoga teachers, structural integrators, body workers and yoga therapists from all over the country. She is passionate in her pursuit to assist individuals of all ages, skill levels, shapes, and sizes in improving and maintaining their overall health and well-being.
Since 2003 Andrea has been a certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, working with patients that have injuries, neurological, and cognitive deficits. While pregnant with her second child in 2004 she began to attend prenatal yoga classes. Through this experience Andrea fell in love with yoga and the benefits to not only the body, but to the mind as well and has been practicing ever since. Andrea has married her two passions through incorporating yoga into her treatment sessions with clients in skilled nursing, acute rehab, home care and community-based mental health sessions. In 2016, Andrea took a course on trauma-informed yoga through the Liberation Prison Yoga organization. She has since led yoga groups for folks with severe and persistent mental illness in clubhouse and outpatient settings. Andrea has a true devotion for making yoga accessible to everyone.
Alison Gutoski is our desk manager and a YTT student, she will obtain her 200 hour Teaching Certificate this Spring. She brings her immense creative energy, beautiful smile to all who enter making sure that everyone is happy before and after class. She aspires to bring her education from Smith College, her life experiences to the studio to help ethers heal, and thrive from life traumas. She is an "Earth Mother" with a bright light that she shares with all that she meets at HeartnSoul!
Kim was encouraged to take her first ashtanga yoga class in 1999 to promote health and wellness after a brief illness. Feeling the strength the practice gave her, she came back, and stayed for the health benefits ever since. She took her first teacher training in 2000 to deepen her own practice and continued each year, totaling over 200 hours with Beryl Bender Birch's Hard and Soft Yoga Institute. In 2008, she attended Nancy Gilgof's 25 hour primary series adjustment clinic and has taken various workshops every year with teachers including Beryl Bender Birch, Christine Hoar, David Garrigues and Jack Lynch. She also had the opportunity to practice under the leadership of the late Sri K Pathabhi Jois in 2008. In 2011, in addition to her nursing career (with her boys now grown), she started 'officially teaching'. She wants to share what she has learned with others. She feels the practice of ashtanga yoga is yet another tool to help each individual feel their best throughout their years. She hopes to share the peace of the practice with others.
Cindy is a certified Kripalu Yoga Teacher who loves to meet new people, bring a smile to the faces of these she meets. Her teaching is gentle and accessible to all bodies. She has a soft and easy going personality. Her education is in alignment with the principles of a kind and compassionate yogi living a life that brings meaning to the words she shares with her classes.
Michelle Bouchard is 200 hour Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher. She is certified from HeartSong Yoga Center in East Long Meadow where she studied with Beryl Bender Birch, founder of the Hard & the Soft of Yoga Institute. Her classes are gentle and accessible to all sprinkled with yogic wisdom, alignment cues and a sense of humor. "if you can breathe you can do yoga" is the philosophy she teachers her students. She seeks to make yoga accessible to EVERY BODY in the room. Her enthusiasm for yoga and all of its teachings will keep you interested and put a smile on your face. Try her classes - a combo of Mellow and Strong Flow accessible to all!! Michelle wishes peace and happiness to all people on this journey called life.
Tanya Miller is a woman of many hats along this journey called life. She is a registered yoga instructor, hypnotherapist, medical tech, small business owner, mother and wife. Her degrees and certifications include a Bachelor's in Clinical Laboratory, Public Health and Holistic Health. She began practicing yoga in 1994, earned her 200 hour yoga certification and soon became a Certified Transpersonal Hypnotherapist. Currently, she is competing her certification in Pre-natal and Post-natal yoga teaching with Corinne Andrews at the Yoga Center of Amherst. She is excited to offer a unique blend of yoga and hypnotherapy to expectant mothers, new mothers and mommy & me classes! Both modalities work to release deep tensions and holdings in the whole body-mind and result in physical, mental and emotional relaxation and changes in perception. Her classes combine an awareness of the physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of yoga and life. Tanya's unique style and light hearted humor make her private sessions and classes a beautiful experience!
Tammey was first introduced to Pilates in 2004 after having some back issues and was recommended to take Pilates to strengthen her core and back. This is when she truly realized the benefits of a regular Pilates practice had on her body. As a result, she fell in love with Pilates and decided she wanted to help others discover the many benefits as well. She received her first Pilates and mat certification in 2005. Her love of fitness and a healthy lifestyle quickly lead her to gaining certifications in AFAA Personal Training, Interval Training, Core Muscle Training,Stability Ball Training, and cycling. Tammey enjoys encouraging her clients to recogize their full potential by achieving their health and fitness objectives.
